Voting!

Let me start out by saying that I am normally not really into politics. This year was different for me because of all the pressing issues in our country most of which affect all of our every day lives. I couldn't get enough of watching the candidates and trying to understand what "they" could do for me and how they could help this wonderful country! I was so excited to be able to vote! Hannah also has been learning about voting. Her school even had a chance to vote for President at their Fall Festival. Because school was out that day, Hannah and I left first thing in the morning to go wait in line! After waiting an hour AT THE WRONG LOCATION(that is a whole other story) and then waiting 2 1/2 hours and the right location I was able to cast my vote!
Hannah and I kept busy by reading books and playing I Spy.

After about 2 hours, Avery joined us (Justin had to go to work) and he brought a beach chair, snacks and a blanket (it was so cold). The girls had fun running around outside and eating Teddy Grahams. It helped pass the time.

Right after I casted my vote!!

Although my pick didn't win, I am all for unity and hope that we can come together as a nation and do what is right!!! God Bless America!

I love voting time! I love taking the kids and waiting in line and feeling American (especially since we go to IHOP afterwards and get a big breakfast). I, too, was not happy with the outcome but I do hope for the best and will give all my support.
