Her birthday party was so much fun. Now, we are not really into those big expensive parties. We usually let them choose what their theme is and I come up with fun activities and snacks and we have a party at our house, but this year i researched having a Build-a Bear party and I am so glad I did. It was so fun and easy. Literally i called them, told them the date and time i wanted it and the price point per child i wanted and they did the rest. Avery and 7 of her friends met us at the mall and enjoyed "building a bear". For those of you who don't know what that is i'll explain. You go into the store and they have lots of bears and other animals to choose from. Under the display is a big container of "empty bears" (bears without the stuffing) you choose a bear, name it, put a heart into it and then they fluff it up (put the stuffing into it).
Then they have a place where you can "give it a bath" and then they have LOTS of clothing options. Each child got to pick out a bear and an outfit that fit the previous mentioned price point
(the finished product)
The store provided and "party leader" so Justin and I got to sit back and watch and enjoy. They played age appropriate games and then the party was over. You get to take your bear home in a cardboard "house" that is complete with windows and a door. It even comes with its own Birth Certificate. SO COOL!! After I paid for everything they wrote the number of guests on the receipt and all the kids got to ride the mall carousel for free! (normally it is $2 a person) SO COOL!!
While the kids were riging the carousel, i went and bought ice cream cones for all the kids from Chick-fil-a. The kids were so excited! Lots of smiles and squeals. Avery LOVED every minute of it (especially openeing her presents).
Her friends are so sweet and we all had a great time!! Happy Birthday Avery Brooke Sammons!!! We love you
